St Sundays Cottage a stunning detached 16th century self catering cottage in the picturesque village of Stainton, near Kendal, Cumbria situated on the banks of St Sundays Beck. The one bed cottage is suitable for two adults.

If you are planning to visit the Lake District, come and enjoy the hospitality of this small village, Stainton is located on the edge of the Lake District National Park whilst still within easy reach of the motorway M6 J36.

St Sundays Cottage mixes modern fitments with cottage features. The sitting room has original beams and stone flag floors and woodburner. Kitchen with gas Aga and electric hob and fan oven. Gorgeous cosy bedroom with en-suite with walk in shower. Boot room and summer house. Established private gardens at the rear with spectacular views over the countryside.

Your stay can be as varied as you like, from walking in some of the most spectacular scenery, fishing or golf to leisurely shopping and bargain hunting in the local markets of the surrounding towns. Kendal is a few minutes, Windermere about twenty minutes and Kirkby Lonsdale about the same.

We have an abundance of wildlife here including a family of kingfishers on the river so keep a look out for a brilliant blue flash! We also have Dippers, Herons, little Egrets, Buzzards, Goldfinches plus many other species.

We also spotted Otters on the bank opposite.
